As curriculum and enablement advisor, Dennis collaborates with a global network of leading institutions to provide guidance to design and implement capability-based analytics courses across a full spectrum from introductory electives to specialized degree programs and advanced degrees.  Institutions are encouraged to share this curriculum and learning objects.  Dennis creates, adapts and interprets IBM material for use in analytics curricula, with emphasis on assets for hands-on exercises, assignments, case studies and data sets.  He supports the institutions to engage students and faculty in applied research addressing client proof-of-concept challenges and ultimately prepare the graduates with the skills required by clients.

Dennis joined Cognos in 1984 (eventually becoming IBM in 2008) and has held various positions in the North America region including Customer Support, Technical Sales Specialist, Consulting Services, Team Leader of Quality Control, Senior Education Specialist responsible for worldwide technical training to the IBM Cognos developers. Dennis also spent 10 years in industry as an information systems professional performing duties such as: Project Management, Year 2000 Project Planning and Testing, User Requirements Definition, Data Analysis, System Design & Analysis, Development, Implementation and Maintenance, Data Conversion, User and Technical Training, and Career Management.

Dennis completed the Business Administration, Data Processing Concentration (1984) at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Canada  and supplemented his learning with Web Designer Certificate (2000), Certificate in Quality Assurance (2003), and Project Management (PMI - 2005) and a Certificate in Adult Education (SFX - 2009).
