The Journal of Business and Economic Studies (JBES) is the semi-annual peer blind reviewed academic journal of the Northeast Business & Economics Association (NBEA), a non-profit scholarly society. The JBES is a traditional printed publication. The NBEA, formerly the New England Business and Economics Association, was founded in 1973 to promote research in business and economics by enhancing the discussion and exchange of applied and theoretical original research among scholars. These broad objectives are achieved by holding an annual conference and the issuance of The JBES, which is currently in its 21st year of publication. The Journal of Business and Economic Studies has been housed at the School of Management at New Jersey Institute of Technology since September 2013.
The Journal of Business and Economic Studies is listed in the American Economic Association’s bibliographic database of economic literature EconLit, Cabell’s Directories of Publishing Opportunities, and Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory. The JBES is also available in the EBSCO and ProQuest databases.
The JBES seeks submissions of high quality original academic research papers in the areas of business and economics. Potential contributors to the journal should review past issues so as to ensure that their research is consistent with the journal’s focus as well as review the manuscript submission procedures.
An annual subscription to The JBES is $30.00. A check should be made out to the Northeast Business and Economics Association and mailed to the executive editor of the journal at the School of Management, New Jersey Institute of Technology, University Heights, Newark, NJ 07102-1982.
