Dr. Maggie Cheng is an Associate Professor of Data Analytics at the Martin Tuchman School of Management, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, New Jersey. She obtained her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota at the Twin Cities. Her teaching and research interests include statistical machine learning, optimization, decision support systems, big data and stream data analytics with applications in precision medicine, communication networks, social networks, and cyber physical systems. Her publications appear in IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IEEE Transactions on Computers, ACM Transactions on Sensor Networks, IEEE Internet of Things, Theoretical Computer Science, Global Optimization, Electrical Power and Energy Systems, etc. Her research has been supported by National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, Department of Transportation, and Department of Education.
