MTSM Faculty Recognized for Innovation in Teaching Methods
The “Bright Idea” award from Seton Hall was awarded to Cesar Bandera and Mark Somers for a paper entitled “Disruptions as opportunities for new thinking: Applying the studio model to business education.”

Joyce A. Strawser, Ph.D., Dean of the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall, said the following in her letter to the two awardees.
“I am so pleased to inform you that your article, "Disruptions as opportunities for new thinking: Applying the studio model to business education," was selected to receive the Bright Idea Award, sponsored by the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University. As you know, the Stillman School has compiled the twentieth annual volume of the Publications of New Jersey's Business Faculty, a collection of research works that were published in 2020. Yours was identified as one of the top 10 manuscripts from the 114 publications submitted. We are so proud of your work and the intellectual capital that resides within our great State! The Awards Ceremony to honor the achievement of all our Bright Idea honorees statewide will take place virtually on Friday, November 12, 2021.”
