How do I know which classes to take?
There are a few ways of knowing your required classes:

Use DegreeWorks' functions to assist you with planning.

How do I get a REGISTRATION HOLD removed?
There are 3 types of HOLD that prevent registration:

Advisor Hold – This hold can be removed by scheduling an appointment with your Academic Advisor to go over your courses that are recommended for the next semester.

Bursar Hold – This hold can be removed by the Bursar’s Office once financial arrangements have been made.

Medical Hold – This hold can be removed by Student Health Services once your medical requirements have been met.
How can I register for more than 19 credits?
Please complete the petition form.
How can I register for a course in another college?
Matriculated undergraduate students are not permitted to register for a major class in another college. Under extenuating circumstances, the student may be allowed to register in Rutgers, by using this form.
How can I declare a minor?
Students can access the form through Highlander Pipeline or directly through Application to Change Major/Minor/Concentration.
How can I declare or add a concentration?
Students can access the form through Highlander Pipeline or directly through Application to Change Major/Minor/Concentration.
Why do I get a REGISTRATION ERROR?
Below is a list of the most common error messages. If you receive one of these messages, please submit a permit request. Note that duplicate requests will delay the processing time or permits.

This error message means that you are attempting to register for a course outside of your major. |

This error message will appear when you are attempting to register for an Honor’s course/section and you are not a part of the cohort. |

This error message means that the course is filled to its maximum capacity. |
Repeat Limit |
This error message means that you are attempting to register for a course that you have already taken two or more times. |
Year (Class) |
This error message means that you are not allowed to register to a Junior or Senior level class if your credits earned have not yet reached the level. |
What is the best field of concentration?
It is recommended that you refer to BS Business Career info page before choosing the concentration(s). If you need additional help, feel free to contact the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
How can I apply for scholarship?
Call them scholarships. Call them grants. Call them awards, assistance, or financial aid. No matter what words you use, it's free money you're talking about.
NJIT connects you with hundreds of awards based on your academic achievements, athletic prowess, SAT scores, financial need, state of residency, and more. Based on your records and FAFSA, you'll automatically be considered for every award for which you are eligible.
Student Financial Aid Services will guide you through the process of finding all the sources of aid that might be available to you and your family. For complete information, please contact the Financial Aid Office.
How do I apply for a coop or internship?
Cooperative education is available to all undergraduate, master and doctoral students who meet the eligibility criteria for their level, major and college. To apply for the Cooperative Education Program: Log into your Handshake account. Complete the Co-op eligibility form.

- Students can view the classes they need by logging into Highlander Pipeline and clicking on the "Student Services" tab. Once you’ve clicked the student tab, proceed by clicking on the Banner Student Self-Service tab and then Degree Works. You can also ask your academic advisor for your major curriculum sheet.
- What are the courses that will be offered for the next term?
- To view the schedule of courses currently available for registration, students may view the Registrar’s Course Schedule. Students may also visit the Curriculum page for their specific program and view the course offerings for MTSM.

Martin Tuchman School of Management recognizes the complexities of applying and/or transferring to a new university and ask that students interested in joining our program take one of the following steps:

Prospective Transfer Students
If you're currently enrolled at another college or university or have already completed some college course work (not counting any you might have done in high school), you should apply as a transfer student.
