It is an exciting time for Martin Tuchman School of Management. Since its inception in 1988, we have been growing our programs by leaps and bounds, achieving our goal of advancing the business discipline, and educating students to become highly skilled professionals in data- and technology-driven businesses. Look carefully at our website and I am sure you will find a program that is a good fit for you.
Our Bachelor of Science in Business focuses on experiential learning. Our Business Analytics Lab is a hangout for many of our students, who have fun with Watson Analytics, hoping to beat the contestants in “Jeopardy.” Other students are learning to use Salesforce software, one of the most commonly used Customer Relationship Management tools in industry. As I walk to my office it is hard not to notice the Bloomberg terminals in the Ray Cassetta Financial Analysis Lab, busy with students working on their projects in a team-based environment and analyzing financial data. Let’s not forget our juniors and seniors. They are busy interning at major corporations, or choosing to be entrepreneurs planting the seeds of their startups in our Small Business Incubator.
Like any other prestigious management school, we offer PhD and graduate programs for working professionals who want to pursue master’s degrees in management. We have flexible MBA options that work well for our students’ demanding work lives. Our PhD program is one of the few and the largest programs in the nation in Business Data Science. If you are interested in advanced degrees and passionate about financial bubble research, the Leir Center is the place to be. Our faculty are top-notch scholars in their field and happy to collaborate with you in their research.
As a final note, I am proud to say that Martin Tuchman School of Management is an anchor institution. As such, we are committed to creating economic opportunities and advancement in the Newark community where we reside, and investing in its human capital. We find acres of diamonds in our own “backyard” everyday.
I hope you get a chance to visit our campus and our “backyard” to learn more about our student-focused culture, our recognized programs, the success stories of our students, and the faculty and staff who make all the difference.
