World Cup Fan Engagement
This interactive dashboard was developed by students and faculty at NJIT’s Martin Tuchman School of Management as part of the university’s partnership with the FIFA World Cup 2026™ NYNJ Host Committee. Its purpose is to capture and analyze real-time fan sentiment surrounding the World Cup, offering insights into how audiences across the New York–New Jersey region and beyond experience this global event.
The platform follows a streamlined data pipeline: raw social media posts are collected, processed through natural language processing (NLP) and artificial intelligence, and transformed into clear visualizations of sentiment, trending topics, and geographic patterns of fan engagement. By tracking hashtags, viral moments, and emerging themes, the dashboard highlights how fans react to key events, from match highlights to cultural moments, in real time.
